Consuming fire?

Consuming fire? One, small angry moment is like that short bark. If there is a way of transferring that moment into a minute and beyond, there’s no telling where it will end.

Think about it. The thing about anger you and I need to understand is that, like a dog’s, quick warning bark, one small thing usually leads to a lot of very big things.

God’s Word tells us: “and assign your nuggets to the dust, your gold of Ophir to the rocks in the ravines, then the Almighty will be your gold, the choicest silver for you.” (Proverbs 22:24-25).

In anger producing situations it’s easy to blame the situation but that is unrealistic. We are responsible because we “choose” to become angry, it doesn’t choose us, no matter the situation. The Bible tells us that anger “ensnares” its victims. Once we allow ourselves to be trapped by our emotions, there’s the devil to pay, literally. Nothing makes us angry. Anger is the result of our choosing to react in anger-producing situations. The next time something or someone prompts your anger remind yourself that anger is a choice; it is up to you.

“I pray today in Jesus name that when we become agitated about the events of the moment, we turn to God and offer Him our frustrations and worries, so that we embrace His grace and love, and not our anger. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
