Tough packaging?

Tough packaging? Recently I tried to open one of those plastic sealed packages that says: “Tear Here”, but no amount of leverage would get it to open. I knew it would require a scissors, but I had to try anyway. Eventually I resorted to the scissors and the package was quickly opened and the contents accessed.

Think about it. Similarly, God puts spiritual goodness inside you and I, but without the aid of the Holy Spirit, that goodness would remain unopened. He is our scissors.

God’s Word tells us: “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you” (John 14:26).

We need to be observant during the painful times and discover how God uses these to pull out the goodness He has stored within us. Often pain is the “scissors” He uses. There’s no one like God when it comes to opening tough packaging.

We pray. “Heavenly Father, thanks for the truth of Your Word. Thanks that my body has become a temple for Your Spirit. Open my understanding to the riches of Your grace toward me, knowing that at this very moment Your Holy Spirit is within me. In Jesus name. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)www.thispassingday.com
