The key is in the waiting?

"When all is said and done"? We use it to reflect on our actions when the outcome is uncertain, hoping for the best. It’s a moment to step back, pause, and wait for results. But if someone is rushing through the process, they may need to slow down to fully assess what’s been said and done. Taking time to reflect helps ensure that we understand the impact of our actions before drawing conclusions.

Think about it. If a person is in a hurry however, would what they “said and did” require some slowing down to truly see what happens?

God’s Word: “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord (Psalm 27:14).”

Our job is to be diligent in the tasks God gives us, not to chase success, which is never guaranteed. Success is a byproduct of faithfulness, not a promise. For Christians, the key lies in the waiting, which cultivates patience—a virtue often in short supply. Slowing down in the process can make the wait fruitful. Take pride in your work, do what’s necessary, and trust that, in the end, God will bring success according to His perfect plan.

We pray. “Heavenly Father, help me to trust in Your timing. Teach me patience in the waiting, and remind me that success is in Your hands, not mine. Guide my actions and help me slow down when needed, so I can reflect and trust You fully. May I find peace in Your plan. In Jesus name. Amen.”

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matt 6:34)
