So sweet? I believe that whenever we have knowledge that we wish to share with others, you can’t make people learn, but you sure can motivate them to discover for themselves what knowledge can do for them.
Think about it. You know, God does the same thing for us when He decides it’s time for us to be tested. God never tests us to find out what we will do.
God’s Word tells us: “…man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord” (Deuteronomy 8:3).
God knows the result of any test before he brings it on us. God tests us only to give us the opportunity to find out what it means to be obedient, finish the test and be drawn closer to Him. God doesn’t always give us a mulligan when we don’t pass muster the first time through; but, with patience we will succeed. Getting through the tough spots in life, even though it may cause us pain, can be worthwhile when the challenge is met and the goal is reached. Once you’ve passed the test, the remembrance is oh, so sweet!
“Heavenly Father, help me, not only with this test, but the many tests of life. Be gracious with what I have overlooked. Help me to remain focused and calm, confident in the facts and in my ability, and firm in the knowledge that no matter what happens today you are there with me. In Jesus name we pray. Amen”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
