Out of control?

Out of control? Time is perhaps our most precious gift, yet we often squander it, take it for granted, and complain when it slips away. We crave more, but often fail to appreciate it when it’s available. We treat time as something we control, pushing it with our desires and impatience, only to regret when it’s too late. We’re urged to value time, yet rarely choose to return it wisely.

Think about it. Is how we treat the time God has gifted us the most important task you and I can assume every day of our lives?

God’s Word: “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. (Psalm 90:12).”

Time is the “unmanufactured tissue of the universe,” a real, tangible gift with which we shape our lives. It builds success, captures happiness, and moves in various ways—walking, running, crawling, or standing still. Created by God, time is a daily commodity full of potential, meant to be valued and used wisely. Now is the only time we truly own, so we must cherish and make the most of it.

We pray. “Heavenly Father, Lord, help us to recognize the gift of time. Teach us to use each moment wisely, with gratitude and purpose. Guide our hearts to seek Your will, making the most of time You’ve given, that we may live in Your wisdom. In Jesus' name. Amen.”

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matt 6:34)
