Eternal hiking? You and I are on a journey. It started the day we took our first gasp of air outside the womb and will not end until our breath becomes silent and is no more. This was not a journey of chance meandering aimlessly from life to death..
Think about it. God has ordained. our life’s journey. He mapped out a path for you and I from before time.
God’s Word: “And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control” (Philippians 3:20-21).
God has marked the trail for us so that we won’t get lost; but when we burden ourselves with possessions and desires, it’s difficult to see His guiding hand. Pilgrims on a long journey should travel light. There is a pace to keep and a goal to reach. When traveling the path from birth to eternal we need to keep our focus on Him and not on the things of this life that only burden us.
“Heavenly Father, You whose glory fills the whole creation, and whose presence we find wherever we go: preserve those who travel; surround them with your loving care; protect them from every danger; and bring them in safety to their journey's end whether in life or in recreation. In Jesus name. Amen!”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
