God here and there?

God here and there? As Christians we confess that God is omnipresent, everywhere, unrestrained in sovereign power over creation. What does that mean? Most of us have been correctly taught He is in heaven. Jesus specifically tells us that we are to pray “Our Father in heaven” as he teaches us the Lord’s Prayer. Did Jesus mean that God was there and not here?

Think about it. It’s so important to be in the Word daily. It’s our driver’s manual to get us to heaven since God himself wrote it.

God’s Word tells us: “When his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD made everything he did successful, Joseph found favor with his master and became his. (God God dwells in calamity.)” (Genesis 39:3-4a).

So, where is God? God is here, in you and in me because his Word lives in us. He is the Father who reigns in heaven while at the same time reigning in our hearts. When we picture God that way there isn’t a test in this life that we can’t pass successfully. God is here; and he is there. Makes you want to uncover your head doesn’t it, and worship with all your heart.

“Heavenly Father, when life closes in on us one we often ask, “Where are You Lord?” How much safer and at peace we would be if we just discovered that You are in us and around us. We have nothing to fear. In Jesus name, Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
