Going head-on in faith? The best way through a problem is straight ahead. When facing the giant Goliath, the Israelites tried to avoid him, but David chose to confront him directly. To David, Goliath wasn’t a giant problem, just a big man in God's eyes. By seeing the situation from God's perspective, David defeated Goliath, showing us that facing challenges head-on with faith is the way to overcome them.
Think about it. When we view problems as obstacles, we exaggerate their size, losing perspective and making them seem larger and more daunting than they truly are.
God’s Word: “Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you (Deuteronomy 3:22).”
When facing life’s challenges, we often delay tackling them, hoping they'll go away. Instead, they reappear, and avoiding them only costs more time and energy. If we confront the problem head-on, we may realize it's smaller than we imagined. Going straight through the issue is always more effective than constantly trying to go around it.
We pray. “Heavenly Father, help me face my challenges head-on with courage and faith. Give me the strength to stop avoiding problems and the wisdom to trust You in overcoming them. May I see obstacles as opportunities to grow, knowing You are always with me. In Jesus name. Amen.”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matt 6:34) This Passing Day
