Dictators?

Dictators? Before the Flood the order that God had established in the Garden of Eden had broken down. After the Flood, now a new order would be restored. Man would be the benevolent dictator in command of God’s creation. When I walk down the game paths that crisscross my home here at Beech Springs that spirit walks with me. The fear and dread that the Bible speaks of is there. Here a rabbit scurries away beneath a brush pile. I mean it no harm, but it is scurries nonetheless. All God’s creature around me act act the same.

Think about it. You and I must not fear creation for it lives in awe of us. As God’s agents, his images here on earth, it can be no other way.

God’s Word tells us: “Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth (Genesis 9:1 ).

God has made me a caretaker, a steward of this little patch of land and I mean to be the best “benevolent dictator” I can be. As I rule this land, it is protected and I will do everything within my power to benefit it before myself. It’s the way that God meant it to be.

“Heavenly Father, You have given us this beautiful world to live in and glorify You through our benevolent rule over all the creatures You have put here to both serve us and bring us joy and pleasure. Be praised. In Jesus name, Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
