Alligators or sharks?

Alligators or sharks? Have you ever taken some bad advice or relied on advice that was only half right? You know, “Hey don’t worry about that now. We can always do something about that later.” If only the advice that we got from those who seem to care were always 100% true. The consequences can sometimes be serious!

Think about it. Seeking relief for the problems of life by avoiding wise decisions now rather than taking the risks of bad outcomes later is like swapping alligators for sharks.

God’s Word tells us: “Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.” (Psalms 84:12).

Before taking questionable advice, it’s always advisable to check with God first. We need to ask Him to bless it. Test your actions, your opinions and your decisions by His Word. It’s really a matter of where we place our trust. Turn to the one dependable source that has our best interests at heart; the one who knows where the alligators and the sharks are lurking.

“Heavenly Father, we are always seeking to move ahead in life. Sometimes that involves taking shortcuts when it comes to coming to an understanding of what You want us to do. Forgive us when we don’t commit our ways to You first. In Jesus name. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
