When things aren't working out?

When things aren’t working out! Success doesn’t always mean God is pleased with us, nor does it necessarily indicate His blessing. While it’s tempting to attribute good fortune to God's favor, many unbelievers also experience wealth and fame. Success in life isn’t a definitive sign of divine approval, as both believers and non-believers face blessings and challenges.

Think about it.  That being the case, how can we be sure that our successes are from God? And, what about my failures?

God’s Word: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. (Psalm 46:1).”

We must be careful not to equate our successes or failures with our ability to please God. While He desires our success in doing His will and gaining victory over sin, earthly achievements don’t guarantee His approval. True success in God's eyes comes from striving to know and love Christ, conforming to His image, and walking by faith. Success in life doesn’t always mean we're doing the right thing, as we are called to walk by faith, not by works.

We pray. “Heavenly Father, help me not to equate success with Your approval. Teach me to walk by faith, not by works. May my striving be for Your will, to know and love You more. I trust in Your grace, knowing that true success is found in Your love and purpose for me. In Jesus name. Amen.”

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matt 6:34)  thispassingday.com
