Whatever life throws at us?

Whatever life throws at us? I often lift things I shouldn’t. Last weekend, I tried moving a heavy piece of equipment, a log splitter from the garage without waiting for help. Ignoring my better judgment, I lifted it solo without hooking it up to the tractor. The result? Sore knees, sore back and a stressed heart, all needlessly suffered due to cutting a corner here and there and not using my head.

Think about it. Often our tasks in life really require less self-confidence and a little more common sense?

God’s Word: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6).”

Self-sufficiency can be dangerous when it leads us to rely solely on our own strength. Tackling life’s problems with self-worth instead of strength from God often results in difficult situations. Living by our own power is risky, but living through Christ’s strength is far better. When we trust that we can do all things through Him, we’re prepared for whatever life throws our way.

We pray. “Heavenly Father, help me to rely on Your strength, not my own. In times of struggle, remind me that confidence comes from You. Teach me to trust Your guidance, knowing that through Christ, I am equipped to face every challenge. May I always seek Your power. In Jesus name. Amen.”

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matt 6:34)
