Waiting on it

Waiting on it? Worry grows in size proportionate to how long we live with it. The more we concern ourselves with it, the larger its shadow gets till it draws us into it, even though the source of that worry might be small in the first place.

Think about it. Are you looking for trouble? Guess what, if you are you’re likely to find it eventually. It’s been said that “worry is faith in the negative, trust in the unpleasant, assurance of disaster and belief in defeat.

God’s Word tells us: “It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.” (John 13:1).

Are you looking for trouble? If you are you’re likely to find it eventually.Worry is wasting today’s time to clutter up tomorrow’s opportunities with yesterday’s troubles. Take stock of those things that are troubling you today; then see if you are seeing the trouble clearly or merely looking at a distant and looming reflection. The odds are, the trouble is much smaller than you thought.

“I pray today in Jesus name that when things go bad in our lives, we put worry away and instead trust in the Lord to get us through. Worry destroys hope, something we can live without. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
