Waiting for the cavalry?

Waiting for the calvary? Based on personal experience in the nonprofit world, tackling projects solo is often the norm due to understaffing, with the belief that "if you want something done, do it yourself." While this approach can be effective, it’s also self-defeating. Focusing on one task means neglecting others, and working alone can lead to burnout. Sometimes, waiting for help or collaboration is a better alternative than trying to do everything yourself.

Think about it.  When faced with the pressure of getting things done, especially when these are critically important, sometimes it is better alternative to wait for the cavalry.

God’s Word: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10).”

Each of us needs to discover that every Christian experience relies on one major factor—the arrival of the “cavalry,” Jesus Christ. When faced by what sometimes seems insurmountable odds we wonder who will take the lead. God will answer, “Go!” With God by our side, there is no need to fear. The cavalry is already in place. In times of pressure, don’t go it alone—call on God, knowing He is always ready to lead and provide the strength we need.

We pray. “Heavenly Father, thank You for being our constant source of strength and guidance. When we face challenges and feel alone, remind us that You are our "cavalry," already beside us. Help us trust in Your presence, knowing we need not fear when You are at the helm. In Jesus' name. Amen.”

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matt 6:34)
