Up front?

Up front? Did you ever have a goal, a goal so precious that you put it before you all the time just so you would never forget it? Making time for our dreams is easy. But, when it comes to making time for God, we don’t often go to such elaborate rituals do we?

Think about it. The Bible teaches that we should “set the Lord always before” us (Psalm 16:8). And Jesus taught that God takes it upon himself to take care of us. That being the case, we ought not to fear that He will.

God’s Word tells us: “If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied” (Psalm 16:8).

Since we have nothing to fear, there is a whole lot of room to open our thoughts and hearts to God. Perhaps our days are so filled with care that we have little or no time to spend on “dreams” of God and “goals” of heaven. Perhaps today would be a good time to put that Bible passage in your pocket or perhaps place a little cross in your pocket. Now there is a goal truly worth dreaming about and one that will, without a doubt, eventually be realized.

“I pray today in Jesus name that each of us put God into our thoughts and actions this day. Put Him up front where He belongs, in control of our lives and our every action.” Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
