Unexpected treasures? A number of years ago, I needed to build a storage and dinette area in our Airstream trailer. I used thin laminate board to save weight, but found it too thin for hinges. After some brainstorming, I used magnets instead. They not only secured the doors during travel but also made them easy to open. With persistence and ingenuity, I overcame this obstacle, reminding me that many challenges in life can be resolved with the same approach.
Think about it. How can we use creativity and persistence, like choosing magnets over hinges, to turn obstacles into opportunities for innovative solutions in our lives?
God’s Word: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given (James 1:5).”
The Bible in Hosea 4:6 says, “A people will perish for a lack of knowledge.” While some knowledge comes from parents or school, valuable insights arise from persistence in overcoming obstacles. Like that little boy, we must be persistent when faced with challenges. This persistence can lead to unexpected treasures—like my newfound expertise in using magnets for cabinet doors. It’s amazing what a little determination can uncover.
We pray. “Heavenly Father, grant us the wisdom and perseverance to face our obstacles with faith. Help us seek knowledge and embrace creativity in our solutions. May we grow in understanding and find unexpected treasures through persistence. Thank You for guiding our paths. In Jesus name. Amen.”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)
