Turning the screw? I have often felt that the engineers who design products that require such little screws are obviously people with 20/20 vision and very small fingers. If you wear bifocals the screw is a blur. Finding the hole? You might as well close your eyes and probe.
Think about it. Seeking Christ without a willingness to seek Him, to know Him, through His glory is like being sighted but not being able to see. We need to learn of His glory, His suffering, and His sacrifice in order to know Him as He is.
God’s Word tells us: ““The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1: 1-18:14).
If we are truly seeking Him with our hearts, we must be willing to know Him as the suffering Savior who beckons us to walk with Him down the path filled with trial, testing, and and sorrow, that leads to eternal joy and glory in Heaven. There is no other way to turn to screw.
“Heavenly Father, create in us clean hearts, O Lord, that a right spirit may always dwell within us, a spirit enabling us to behold Him in His glory. May we never shrink from following Him down the narrow path that leads to eternal life. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen!“
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
