Blessings of peace? Imagine a life devoid of peace – not just the absence of war, but devoid of God's peace. God blesses us abundantly with countless daily blessings, notably the peace that harmonizes relations, ensures safety, and sustains our homes and crops. Yet, when did you last acknowledge or thank God for this tranquility that envelops us?
Think about it. Ingratitude reflects spiritual immaturity. Like babies, focused on immediate needs, some fail to appreciate past or future deeds.
God’s Word tells us: “ … This is the fate of those who trust in themselves, and of their followers, who approve their sayings (Psalms 49:13).”
Mature Christians focus on God's continuous blessings, despite unworthiness. We exploit His goodness, yet He responds with abundant blessings. Let gratitude fill each day, praising Him for protection, provision, and peace. Pray for an end to sin-driven war and violence, but prioritize God's peace in our lives. Give thanks for His mercy and the peaceful existence He provides.
We pray. “Heavenly Father, despite our unworthiness, You continually bless us. We confess our exploitation of Your goodness. Fill our days with gratitude, praising You, provision, and peace. Grant an end to violence, prioritizing Your peace. In Jesus name. Amen!”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)
