Teach me?

Asking the questions? I had a college professor who had a reputation as an interrogator. He seldom answered questions with answers. If you were afraid to answers his questions, you dare not ask them yourself. Students who feared being “spotted-out” tried to ride out his classes in the back row.

Think about it. Despite the uncomfortable moments God places us in from time to time, we always do better under His tutelage If we are willing to do the work.

God’s Word tells us: “Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me.” (Job 38:1-41).

We ask much of God in the way of seeking the answers. When we do we have embarked on a journey of understanding and growth that will never stop throughout this earthly life. Sure, He has all the answers and could employ them at a moment’s notice. But He often chooses our growth over our seeking. Asking God “why?” is not wrong. But, asking God “why?” without a willingness to learn from it, is. Seek understanding over knowledge.

“I pray today in Jesus name that when we chafe under God’s tutelage we take the time to ask ourself this question: ‘Will we benefit from the lessons He teaches us or will we reject the opportunity.’ Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
