Taking it with you?

Take it with you? “What would you do for $10,000,000?” It’s hard to imagine, but 7% of those polled said that they would “kill a stranger” in order to win the money. 3% would even put their children up for adoption. It seems when money is involved, being “good” has its limits.

Think about it. Unfortunately, In a society so focused on self and personal gain, integrity is something that’s often sold at even cheaper rates than $10,000,000.

God’s Word tells us: “Better is the poor man who walks in his integrity than one who is perverse in his lips, and is a fool” (Proverbs 19:1).

It seems that people are so fearful of losing out that they aren’t afraid to risk everything dear just to win. What price integrity? According to the Bible the price can’t be measured. A “blameless walk” in poverty is a worth far more than the pleasures of this life. You can’t take it with you; all except integrity, that is.

“Heavenly Father, we want the joy and peace that comes with the gift of integrity. Today we confess that we have often strayed and followed our own way instead. Guide us by Your faithful instructions along a path of integrity bring us greater joy. In Jesus name. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
