Speculation? Does God sometimes tell us… “Child, that is for me to know.” I believe He does and when He does, He leaves the dare part, “For you to find out” out of the question. Are there some things that He really doesn’t want us to speculate about?
Think about it. There is no book which lends itself more readily to speculation than the Bible, … What is revealed in God’s Book is for us; what is not revealed is not for us.
God’s Word tells us: “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.” (Deuteronomy 29:29).
God doesn’t tease about His Word; it is always a matter of fact. We might be tempted to speculate, but we never ought to try. It’s called trust. If God says He’ll fix something, don’t bother asking when. It will get fixed. Go on with your life believing and not speculating.
“Heavenly Father, I feel unsure of everyone else in my life, but I know I can trust You, no matter what. I pray that you'll help me to grow in that trust, knowing that You have the best for me in every situation, even if I'm afraid no one else does. Teach me to trust solely in You always. In Jesus name. Amen!”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
