Soaring?

Soaring? What gives you the greatest comfort in life; when you lie down in bed at night with a strong roof above your head and a soft pillow below it? Or maybe it is the feeling of a new set of tires as you drive away from the tire store or full kitchen cabinets.

Soaring? What gives you the greatest comfort in life; when you lie down in bed at night with a strong roof above your head and a soft pillow below it? Or maybe it is the feeling of a new set of tires as you drive away from the tire store or full kitchen cabinets.

Think about it. Whatever makes us feel comfortable; it probably has something to do with fullness, and being covered. Emptiness and uncertainty make us feel insecure. Did you ever wonder why God allows us to be empty or filled with uncertainty?

God’s Word tells us: ““How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God” (Luke 18:22-23).

In like manner God has made us to soar amid our troubles and not simply dwell vulnerably among them. Jesus tells us “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God” (Luke 18:24b). The reason is that those who look to their roofs, pillows, tires and cupboards for security are simply surviving but they aren’t living.

“I pray today in Jesus name that when feel insecure, wanting to stay close to home and away from trouble, we remember that God has created us to soar and not just dwell.” Amen!

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
