Shadows?

Shadows? Do you like to speak for yourself? I think if you’re like most people you find it annoying when you’re trying to make a point and someone interrupts to make that point for you. Sometimes it IS easier to let others finish things for us.

Think about it. Should we ever allow others to not only tell us how to believe but we let them do the believing for us? Others may seem to know more about God and we’re intimidated into letting them believe for us.

God’s Word tells us: But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. ” (1 Peter 2:9).

Did you know that you and I are, in God’s eyes, both holy and priestly? No one stands between us and the figure of Jesus Christ. He and he alone is OUR intermediary. If we keep at it long enough, we will eventually, look just like Him in this sense: when our actions our righteous we will dwell in the shadow of His righteousness. Living in that shadow is to die for.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
