Settle for less? Jesus is the architect of our faith. Why should we follow anyone or anything else in our lives? We need to reject any complicated formulas or poor substitutes for success. Jesus is the best there is and we don’t need to complicate our spiritual lives by adopting some difficult spiritual methodology to own him.
Think about it. There are times in life when we just have to settle for the best and overlook the rest. That is what the Apostle Paul meant when he wrote, “Fix your thoughts on Jesus. He was faithful to the one who appointed him.”
God’s Word tells us: “Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge." (Hebrews 3: 1-6).
We own him simply through belief. Faith in Christ is simple, it costs nothing, and there is no finer product. Faith in Christ–a simple formula for spiritual success. How could we settle for anything less? He’s simply the best. I guess we just can’t settle for anything but the best when it comes to formula for eternal life in heaven!
