Screaming useful?

Screaming useful? Spiritual flabbiness? Christians of any use to God are screaming fit. Did you know that a life of pleasure without any suffering will ultimately make us flabby and weak from a spiritual perspective.

Think about it. As we long dreamily for days without difficulty, God has a very different plan in mind. He knows that the easier our life, the weaker our spiritual fiber and that strength of any kind grow only by exertion.

God’s Word tells us: But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. “Get behind me, Satan!” he said. “You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” (Mark 8:33).

Are you spiritually flabby or screaming useful? Been hoping to get around to doing something about it? Good intentions won’t get you where you need to go. A flabby Christian is of little use to God.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
