Running fast?

Running fast? In today’s culture I often marvel at the convenient lie that is accepted by many, if the outcome justifies it. Half truths? Not much wrong there, as long as no one is harmed. Moral standards today have changed.

Think about it. I think that many in todays society are hurrying away from the truth and doing so with little conscience or much thought.

God’s Word tells us: “Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” After he had said this, he went back outside to the Jews and told them, “I find no guilt in him” (Luke 4:4).

Not telling the truth, imposing an argument in place of it, has consequences. Ultimately, when we opt to bargain for the truth instead of just making sure that it is revealed up front, we’re headed for trouble. Jesus knew the importance of telling the truth. In His battles with Satan He never stopped to debate it; He merely stated it and let it speak for itself. When you’re confronted with an argument, don’t get pulled into a debate over what is or isn’t true. If you know the truth, tell it. If you don’t, search it out. When you do, remember, the truth always flies faster than you can run.

“Heavenly Father, You are the Source of all truth and wisdom, I come before You now seeking Your guidance and direction. I ask that You lead me into all truth, that I may know You more fully and follow You more closely. In Jesus name, Amen.”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
