Rooted?

Rooted? A number of years ago I transplanted a several Red Maple trees to the roadside frontage of our property here at Beech Springs. A few of the trees ended up planted among some mature maples. One tree, however, ended up planted in the rocky hillside next to the road.The trees that ended up in the woods are about ten feet high today–not very massive at all.The maple on the rocky hillside is over twenty feet tall with a pretty massive trunk. It’s growing straight and tall as the roots grew down straight into the rocks to find the water table.

Think about it. That maple tree took a painful environment and turned pain into gain. How about you?

God’s Word tells us: Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. (1 Peter 3: 13).

The maple tree had a rocky road, but it proved its advantage in the end. Jesus turned his hurt into profit, ours–eternal life. A Christian is never harmed by pain when that pain is only a reminder of that, holy sacrifice.

“I pray today in Jesus name that that rooted in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, none of us will be spiritually stunted by the cares and woes of this wicked world around us. We are never harmed by pain in Christ.” Amen!
