Refreshing difference?

Refreshing difference? If you were to witness a lineup of four people, three of whom were unbelievers and one a believer, how could you pick out the Christian? If you relied solely on appearance, it would be very difficult, for God has blessed both believer and unbeliever with the same physical gifts. Yet, even though we all possess the same gifts, perhaps it’s the way that we use them that makes the difference.

Think about it. The indwelling of the Word of God is the only thing which differentiates a Christian from a non-Christian. It’s on the inside, not the outside.

God’s Word tells us: “Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him, glorifying God; and when all the people saw it, they gave praise to God.” (Luke 18:43).

Although it is a given that all men have ears and a tongue, it’s given only to the believer to use them in praise and thanksgiving to the Creator who made them. This is the refreshing difference between those who merely use them and Christians who spiritually employ them.

thank you for our ears and tongue. May we hear the Word and speak it boldly to all who would receive it in Your name. May our ears be employed to hear only that which is fitting and good for our hearts to receive!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
