Reconciled?

Reconciled? If we are God’s enemies, the mere mention of His name will fill us with fear. Yet with Christ we are now reconciled to God. As we are reconciled, made one with Him, we share in His suffering and He in ours. Christ still suffers with us every time we do. We are one with Him and our hopes, our hurts, our joys and our sorrows are also His.

Think about it. We were alienated from our God for so long and then Christ came to live the perfect life that brought us together with God again.

God’s Word tells us: “He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.” (Colossians 1: 24-29).

We were once enemies and now we are friends–friends that live and die together in a mystical union that only God can explain. Unlike earthly enemies, however, we will at our death not have to ask, “Does Christ yet live?” We know He lives! We are reconciled both now AND forever.

“I pray today in Jesus name that when we feel that our friends and family have abandoned us, we be reminded that Christ will never leave us. We are never alone when we rest in Him. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
