Pulling dandelions? Sadly, we often treat relationships in a manner that results in an outcome we ultimately won’t be happy with. The problem is we often discard or relegate relationships to storage, only to miss the value later when we need them the most.
Think about it. How like life that is. Often, by finding some things unacceptable, such as relationships that don’t meet the moments of our lives, we end up missing out on things down the road priceless in value. It’s like pulling the flowers out with the dandelions. It seemed good in the moment, but the outcome isn’t what we wanted.
God’s Word tells us: “Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance (1 Corinthians 13:7).”
God gives us dandelions along with the flowers. Likewise, He gives us people and situations we can choose to embrace or discard. When we’re faced with what we may consider “weeds” in our life, it’s best we clutch these in our hands that we might use them as opposed to pulling them out too hastily and missing the flowers of opportunity down the road.
