Wind us up Dear Lord? Rewinding a hose is often difficult, since it’s often gritty and slippery. As you wind it around the carrier, there’s something about a hose that isn’t cooperative; almost as if it wasn’t meant to be wound up. Yet, not all hoses are equal. Because of what they’re made of, some are more pliable; better able to wind up and stay in place.
Think about it. You just can’t hold a good Christian down; they are pliable in a way.
God’s Word tells us: “for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:8).
Similarly, Christians are more pliable than others, since they have the ability to bounce back, from trouble in their lives, they stay in place spiritually. We all experience the same difficulties, Christians and unbelievers alike, the difference? Christians have the ability to bounce back with the pliability of being connected to our Savior, Jesus Christ. Wind us up dear Lord. Wind us.
Heavenly Father, we know they who wait for You will renew their strength, they will mount up with wings like eagles, and run and not be weary, we shall walk and not faint. Restore us daily so that we will be able to come back no matter what.” In Jesus name we pray. Amen!”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
