New beginnings?

New beginnings? I live in a forest once full of American Elms, now mostly gone due to Dutch elm disease. After felling one recently, I noticed new shoots coming from its roots. Despite the devastation, tiny American Elms are regrowing and will someday, after I’m gone, repopulate our forest. Though I won't see their shade, there's hope for the the elms’ future—a new beginning is underway at Beech Springs.

Think about it. It is never too late for rebirth. God proved that by resurrecting life from the dead ashes of what had once been His holy people. Is there something or someone in your life that shows little life and even less hope of recovery?

God’s Word: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17).”

God teaches that every life can start fresh when rooted in Christ. No matter the sorrow or grief, life can begin anew with Jesus. Every day is for repentance and rebirth. Take your burdens to Christ and ask for new growth. Like American Elms pushing forth new life, small beginnings can lead to great growth. Always hope in Jesus; just believe.

We pray: “Heavenly Father, renew us daily in Your love. Help us find hope and strength in Jesus, embracing each day as a chance for rebirth. Guide us to let go of our burdens and trust in Your power to bring new growth from even the smallest beginnings. In Jesus name. Amen.”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself

. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)
