Never ashamed?

Never ashamed? Addiction is a common part of life, often seen in small habits like eating or grooming. Some level of addiction is beneficial, providing structure and alleviating anxiety. As we grow, addictions may change or fade, like my childhood scrapbooking passion for sports, which eventually diminished with maturity.

Think about it. Some addictions lead to financial ruin, broken relationships, and health deterioration, showing the lengths people will go to fulfill impulses.

God’s Word tells us: “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heartand my portion forever (Psalms 73:26).”

Most addictions begin with cravings, leading to habitual behavior that can spiral out of control. Yet, consider craving God's presence so intensely that prayer, Bible study, and worship become daily necessities. Such habits alleviate anxiety and instill eternal values. Pursuing this craving ensures a life grounded in faith, offering peace and guidance through every trial and triumph.

We pray, “Heavenly Father, Lord, help us to crave Your presence above all else. May prayer and worship become daily habits that ground us in faith. Grant us peace and guidance through every trial and triumph, as we seek You earnestly.  In Jesus name. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself".

."Each day has enough trouble of its own”

(Matthew 6:34)
