Leveraging?

Leveraging? Life is tough sometimes. It’s easy to lose perspective on God’s grace when one bad thing after another happens. Nevertheless, we often need to quit feeling sorry for ourselves and get down on our knees and pray. How often we forget that the best prayer work comes when we leverage it from our knees, putting our spiritual backs into stubborn problem.

Think about it. We leverage many things in this life, our health, our time and countless other important aspects of who we are and what we do. Why is it that leveraging our knees in prayer is something we often find so hard to do?

God’s Word tells us: “‘Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.’” (John 7:38).

Often our hearts close and dry up, the consequence for not drinking deeply of God is to eventually lose the ability to drink at all. A life without prayer is its own punishment. When life gets tough, it’s time to consider leveraging the knee power God has built into every Christian. Life can easily trip us up when we forget to pray. It’s hard to stumble when you are on your knees.

We pray. “Father, thank You for sending Jesus to save us, and the Holy Spirit to sustain and renew us and be Your presence inside us. Remind us that our knees are for praying. Please bless me as I seek to draw closer to our Savior and restore our souls with the refreshing living water of Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34
