Kissed by God?

Kissed by God? Growing up almost every night my Dad would read from his Daily Prayerbook as we politely listened. When he finished he’d offer this blessing: “The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you; the Lord lift up His continence upon you and give you peace.”

Think about it. My Dad daily spread God’s favor on himself and us. Even if he didn’t know it, I’m sure he felt it, as those blessed words flowed from him most every evening.

God’s Word tells us: “The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26).

When we pass along God’s blessings verbally upon others we share the secret of God’s grace with them. In a way it’s like God kissing us through the words of another. God is a spirit and he needs your lips to do the kissing. Kiss someone today with a blessing from above. Be prayerful.

“Heavenly Father, spread your protection over my family. Guide them and keep them, and help them to trust in You. Be with my family as they go about their daily lives. Cover them with Your protection, and guard their going out and they're coming in, both now and forevermore In Jesus name. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
