Keep getting dirty?

Keep getting dirty? What is it like to be a Christian? We’re special, set apart and valuable in God’s eyes. We’re special, unlike the rest of the unbelieving world. Yet, despite our special value, God uses us to do the down and dirty work that needs to be done.

Think about it. “Christians are not to be isolated but insulated … Separation is contact with contamination. Jesus was ‘holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners,’ yet He was ‘a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ (Vance Havner.)

God’s Word tells us: “Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1).

God keeps us in a special place, the palm of His hand, but His hand is always busy digging into sinful hearts and lives. Set apart but ready for duty. Keep that shine coming Lord and we’ll keep getting dirty.

“Heavenly Father, thank You for Your care for me. I know thatYou care about every aspect of my life. Lord, please guide me in my daily actions with Your loving care. Father, please keep me in Your presence, and don't let me be separated from Your love and Your care. In Jesus name. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
