Imminent danger? Life is kind of like that. There is always the option to do or not to do. It’s up to us; but the consequences may be dire.
Think about it. The presence of suffering vastly complicates that lifestyle–unless we choose to wear blinders. It's hard to believe the world is here just so we can party, when a third of its people go to bed starving each night.
God’s Word tells us: “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (1 Peter 1:19).
We have the freedom to choose the path we want: one of least resistance or one that’s hard. We can choose the easy path that leads to spiritual choking or the harder, redeeming path that dictates work but promises freedom from the choking weeds of this life. Funny thing about weeds, eventually they will take over, no matter how we choose to ignore them.
“I pray today in Jesus name that we be careful to choose the right path: one of least resistance or one that’s hard? We can choose the easy path that leads to spiritual choking or we can choose the harder–our choice. Amen!”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
