Hound of Heaven?

The Hound of Heaven? Have you ever worked at something so long and hard only to realize that, work accomplished, you‘re little farther than from where you started? We seldom find comfort in what we seek when we put something else worthwhile aside. Simply because we don’t have the patience to make it work, doesn’t seem like a good excuse deep down.

Think about it. Every day of our lives we are pursued by a God, like the Hound of Heaven, who by His very nature is a winner. Quitting to God is meaningless.

God’s Word tells us: “if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. ” (Nehemiah 4:1-6).

God rules! When we strive to do battle with Him, the God of time, we will never win. Our time becomes His time when we reject our own willfulness and embrace His will. Then we achieve real victory, freedom from sin. This is God’s will for me, for you, and for everyone, all time.

“Heavenly Father, hear our prayer for patience in all situations. Purify our intentions and correct our thought as we release our desire to pray for self and our loved ones. Bless us with the light of understanding that we trust and rely upon daily as we mold our lives. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
