Helpful bad decisions?

Helpful bad decisions? Years ago, Holly and I researched online to find the right used car at a price we could afford. After narrowing down options, we selected a dealership and spent hours negotiating. It was a tough process, but in the end, we got the exact car we wanted at the price we needed. Hard work and persistence paid off, making the deal all the more satisfying.

Think about it. When my son-in-law Andy saw Holly's new car, he asked if I’d help him negotiate his next vehicle purchase. I smiled, replying, “I’m not so sure, because my tough negotiations today are built on many past not so good ones?”

God’s Word: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28).”

How do you gain experience? Most older and wiser folks say, bad decisions. And over six decades, I've made plenty of mistakes. If we focused on them, we'd never buy another car. But it's through these failures that we've grown stronger. As the Bible says, we are strong and courageous" despite our shortcomings. True success comes from trusting God to turn our bad decisions into good ones over time. We need never be afraid to make them; just not alone.

We pray. “Heavenly Father, thank You for using our mistakes for good. Help us trust in Your purpose, knowing that You can turn our failures into opportunities for growth. Strengthen our faith to be strong and courageous, relying on Your guidance. In Jesus' name. Amen.”

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matt 6:34)
