Hello God?

Hello God? Wouldn’t it be great to just pick up the phone or tap a few keys and be linked with the Lord, just like that? Whenever we felt threatened or lonely we could give Him a call or drop Him an e-mail. Life would be so much simpler if God had set up the Internet first and then created the universe, or at least given us His telephone number.

Think about it. That’s exactly what He’s done. Every time we take time to consider the poor, care for the sick, and befriend the lonely, we’re connecting directly to God. It’s just like having His telephone number and e-mail address in our address book.

God’s Word tells us: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25: 31-41).

Jesus tells us that “whatever you do for one of these, you do it unto me.” Your good works are the best way of connecting to God and keeping a clear channel of communication open 24-7. If you seek Him, find someone you can serve with all your heart. Then, when that service is done, looking into their eyes, you WILL see your God face to face.

“I pray today in Jesus name that when we seek God to help us, we need not consult some odd configuration of works and prayer, or some other mode of communication as we know it. He’s on call 24-7. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
