God took the time?

God took the time? Jesus took no glory in what He did nor did He ask that His power be acclaimed. All glory and power He attributed to His Father in Heaven. The devil tried to tempt Him with the sin of pride and was rejected by our Savior. The example for each of us is clear and Scriptures plainly proscribes how humility is to stamp out pride in our daily lives.

Think about it. We are a society in love with ourselves. How does a Christian keep the proper perspective on what these bodies are all about and who made them?

God’s Word tells us: “The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life” (Job 33: 4).

Daily we take God’s property, our bodies, and join them to sin. Daily we are immersed in sin founded in a pride. We owe our lives to Him; they are not our own. Therefore, there is nothing that we do with these bodies that is worth the slightest boast; only everlasting thanks and praise to the Creator God who took the time to make it possible in the first place.

“Heavenly Father, we praise You, O Creator God, that You took the time to give us life. We thank you, Lord, for our abilities and skills resident in these hands and feet so miraculously coordinated by heart and mind. Thanks for taking the time, Lord. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
