God's waiting room?

God’s waiting room? Have you ever wondered, “Why me, Lord? What did I do to deserve this?” It’s natural to question why when bad things happen in life. I remember recently when I used these words, almost automatically. And, if you notice, they are most likely to come out of your mouth when its something rather trivial that occurs as opposed to the traumatic.

Think about it. When everything is going well, it’s easy to get caught up in the “details of life,” with secondary things crowding out the important.

God’s Word tells us: “When he would not be dissuaded, we gave up and said, “The Lord’s will be done.” (Acts 21:13-14).

But now that we were in God’s waiting room, earthly possessions and pleasures ought to seem trivial. When we look to the Lord, for feelings of significance, that’s when we learn to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. “Why me Lord?” Probably the best answer is because, “I love you! See how important life is when you’re willing to take a rest in my divine waiting room.”

“Heavenly Father, when life becomes heavy and the burden of carrying it cumbersome, remind us Lord that there is a place where we can rest, a waiting room that only You oh Lord, can provide to care for us. In Jesus name. Amen!

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
