God's standards?

Standards? if you consider yourself a Christian, we are a distinct breed in that sense. We are different from non-Christians in that we have been chosen by God to be a breed set-apart, just like those folks who breed pedigreed dogs, God has taken the time to perfect us and make us truly the right choice when it comes to doing His work.

Think about it. We live in the world, but as part of God's kingdom, so we are to live according to His kingdom's standards and values. Aren’t you glad that God went to all the work to chose us to live in His kingdom? In that sense He made you and I a distinct breed of person.

God’s Word tells us: But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation… (1 Peter 2: 8a).

You and I start out as humanity in general transformed by rebirth in Christ into a “chosen people.” However, what we look like doesn’t determine who we are. Rather, in which kingdom we live and by which values we believe, does. God has selected you and I.

“I pray today in Jesus name that when we are confronted with situations where others are watching how we will witness to the truth we remember that our task as Christians is to live up to God’s standards.” Amen!

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
