God’s here? How expectant are you? Do you wake each day with clear goals and plans, or do you let the day unfold aimlessly, welcoming any surprises? While expectations can lead to disappointment, they also bring fulfillment. My experience leans toward expectation, for facing the day with anticipation often leads to worthwhile outcomes despite occasional letdowns.
Think about it. How about this? Do you expect to run into God today? How about tomorrow or for that matter, how about every day?
God’s Word tells us: “If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast (Psalm 139:8-10).”
When you woke up today, did you expect to feel God's presence in your life? Not just a passive awareness, but an active companionship? Cultivating this expectation leads to a richer, more fulfilling life, grounded in the promise that God seeks us daily, walking beside us in Christ's name. Expecting God's presence daily is a discipline that enriches our lives immeasurably.
We pray. “Heavenly Father, thank you for Your unwavering faithfulness and limitless power. Help us to trust in Your promises, knowing that You are able to answer every prayer and solve every problem. Strengthen our faith and fill us with confidence in Your unfailing love. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)
