God's greatest treasures?

\The world’s greatest treasures? I believe God is very determined to include in our collection of valuable “things,” himself. Do you possess God and have Him firmly secured in your storehouse of life’s riches and blessings? God is a spirit and can’t be contained; but, he does give us ways of storing him up.

Think about it. God often interrupts this roller coaster ride we call life. He presents a gift with these words from Genesis, “Do not be afraid . . . I am your shield.” Then, he moves our hearts to put those words into storage so that we might open them regularly and use them to uphold ourselves and remind us of His mercies.

God’s Word tells us: “After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward” (Genesis 15:1b).

Could there be any greater treasure than this? If all things we’ve stored up in life are taken away and yet this one gift remains in our life’s storehouse, we could be no richer even if all the world’s pleasures were suddenly poured upon us. Praise God, praise his holy, name.

“Heavenly Father, You have promised that You will give us hidden treasures – make sure these treasures are exhumed from wherever You have hidden them. Help us to take the steps we need to make this happen. The step we can take is to ask You to reveal them through Christ Jesus. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
