Glad Wrap marriage?

Marriage Glad Wrap? Marriage is like Glad Wrap! It’s tricky to handle, often folding back on itself into a useless mess. It resists cooperation, and even when you manage to unstick it, tearing it off the box is a challenge. But once you’ve got it in place, nothing clings tighter. You know in many ways it’s similar in a marriage.

Think about it. We go into it clinging tightly to ourselves. It’s when we’re finally free of the box we’ve felt so comfortable in, that we find we do our best clinging.

God’s Word tells us: “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord (Proverbs 18:22).”

We often believe individual freedom is paramount, but true fulfillment in marriage lies in sharing and connecting with our spouse. Like Glad Wrap, it's difficult to let go and cling to someone else, as we're naturally stubborn and uncooperative. However, when the Lord helps us overcome this, nothing works better for holding a marriage together.

We pray. “Heavenly Father, May we find strength in Your truth, O God. Help us stand firm, even when the world seeks to sway us with secular truths that don’t seem too radical but open the door to rejecting You. Guide our steps, that we may walk confidently in the light of Your wisdom.  In Jesus Christ name. Amen.”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)
