Get real? The time and effort you put into life’s tasks, taking thought and turning it into something better than just imagination, often turns nice ideas into jobs well done. Sometimes that’s exactly what we need in order to turn effort into results.
Think about it. Like a shadow boxer, we can be strong in the Lord, equipped to deal with our adversary the devil, but never use our strength as our weapon. If we’re to fight the fight, we need to commit to going from an imagined battle to the real thing.
God’s Word tells us: “Be happy, for when the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow. Then you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete” (James 1:3-4).
Intending to use the power of the Holy Spirit in battle is worth little if we don’t commit to using it. Gird yourself; put on the gloves; step into the ring! The devil doesn’t fear words but he does fear Holy punches.
“I pray today in Jesus name that each of us learn to not only know how to fight the good fight, but that we are also willing to put that knowledge into opposing the lies of the foe with real spiritual power. Amen!”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
