Gentle spirit?

Gentle spirit? As Christians we need to live our faith, being more concerned with serving than with being served. When others offended us, we need to return the offense with love and gentleness.

Think about it. What makes a Christian special? The Bible tells us, “Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near . . . And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

God’s Word tells us: “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” (Philippians 4: 1-9).

If someone just needs a shoulder to cry on or some gentle advice, we need to be there to give it. Our “gentleness” should be evident to all. Because we love Christ, God gives us the strength to remain IN Him. The “peace of God” keeps us going; a tangible “peace,” real. Ask God to anoint you today in Christ with His Spirit. Then share that anointing with others. Then share that anointing with others. Your “peace” may be just what your neighbor needs today.

“I pray today in Jesus name that each of us seek the peace of God that passes all understanding, not only to keep us in Christ, but to keep us gentle and understanding when dealing with others. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
