Free game? We live in a day and age when plagiarism is rampant. Where once it was the unwritten rule that what you write should be yours and the works of others quoted should be given credit, it’s not so much the case any more. The Internet has opened the floodgates giving many the feeling that what you find online is “free game.” The fact is this–the theft of someone else’s work is stealing pure and simple. That seems pretty clear-cut.
Think about it. But, what about God’s work? Do we often steal from Him, taking credit for ourselves?
God’s Word tells us: “… for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Philippians 2:13).
Wisdom and ability are a product of God working in us, not the other way around. God becomes OUR wisdom and the ability by His Holy Spirit IN US. He doesn’t give this; He BECOMES this. Looking to become a success in life, already there? Don’t blunder into thinking God just rains these things down indiscriminately. Give Him the credit; Don’t steal HIS work.
“I pray today in Jesus name that each of us would guard ourselves against taking what others have created and making it ours. Especially when it comes to taking the credit for the grace God freely gives. Amen!”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
