Fellowship?

Fellowship? We live in an age where family meals have become for many a thing of the past. In many homes today family meals like this are rare and the sharing of those things that bond a family or for that matter, tug to pull it apart, impossible.

Think about it. The “Leave It To Beaver” dinner where Mom served and the family ate together from food that was prepared from scratch, is becoming rare. Too bad.

God’s Word tells us: “That which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ” (Leviticus 3:1-17).

When we acknowledge the spiritual aspect of eating, the fact that our plate of food is shared with those who sit beside us and that food is, in that sense, a bridge to fellowship, and fellowship a sweet fragrance of worship to our Lord, how special eating might really become.

“Heavenly Father, I pray for my family and friends. May your peace be with them each day. I pray that there will be unity and joy within my family. Help everyone to get along well with each other, and to encourage and strengthen each other each day. In Jesus name. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
